  • Mac Blackberry Desktop Manger

    Last year Waves of Tech performed a review of Blackberry’s PocketMac syncing application.  (Previous Blackberry PocketMac Article) This inferior product left Blackberry users with Mac’s having to purchase third party products in order to phone sync.  Blackberry has finally redeemed themselves with the release of Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac.

    The new Desktop Manager is clean, simple to use and provides accuracy to syncing.  The application will sync calendar items, contacts, notes, tasks, and music.  The Blackberry Desktop Manger also contains back up and restore functions, application removal and update capabilities.   • PocketMac for Macintosh

    Finally gave up on the 2G iPhone. You might ask why? Though the iPhone is a great device, I found it a novelty. It is heavy, breakable, hard to type on and finally after time it started having blank screens and was crashing my iTunes. I decided to go with a new Blackberry Bold to really get back to what I needed. A good phone and a keyboard. To date, the product has been great; however, the third party software PocketMac for the Macintosh is absolutely horrible! I put it in the same class with my first HP Pocket handheld and ActiveSync…. How can they develop such a great phone and Windows version of the sync tool and leave Mac out of the picture. Come on – I ended up purchasing Missing Sync which is light years ahead of the other product. Regardless, there is still no method OS updates via a Mac -
